HERBERT’S PAIN SLOWS WITH BRAKES: The greatest pain a parent can have is to bury their own children. Doug Herbert, driver of the SnapOnFranchise.com Top Fuel dragster, had to do just that in January. His two sons, Jon, 17, and James, 12, were killed in an auto accident in North Carolina. To help Herbert with the pain he founded BRAKES – Be Responsible and Keep Everyone Safe. The boys’ friends at SouthLake Christian Academy are helping Herbert spread the news of driving safely with this “drive safe” initiative tailored for teens.
